Solstice Salads
Solstice Salads™ is our year round brand. Whether the winter solstice is on the way or the summer solstice is nearing, you will be able to find a Solstice Salads™ at our retail partner stores. In season Solstice Salads™ are 100% locally grown. In the event of disruptive weather, we supplement the blend with high quality, organic greens from California. Our goal is to supply a 100% east coast grown salad under the Solstice Salads brand within the next few years. We are currently seeking farming partners in the southeast to help us accomplish this goal.
Locally Known
Bowdoinham-grown organic greens. Locally Known™ is sold to select regional retailers during the local growing season.Organic Spring Mix - Our organic spring mix contains a zesty blend of lettuces, mustard greens, beet tops, baby spinach, baby arugula, baby swiss chard and baby kale. These beautiful mixes offer a wide variety of flavors and textures for all salad lovers to enjoy.
Organic Baby Spinach- We grow and select our baby spinaches with two things in mind, flavor and texture. We are careful to harvest only crisp baby leaves with the most flavor. Spinach lovers you're in for a treat. In season our Menorca spinach is hands down the best you'll find.
Organic Baby Arugula- Arugula is often the most challenging crop to produce, but is also very rewarding. Arugula should always be spicy and dark green. We grow and select round leaf and wild arugulas depending on the quality and time of year. In the winter months the round leaf arugula is more predominant, but come summer we grow the original "Sylvetta" arugula. This arugula is the most flavorful variety you'll find. Arugula lovers beware once you dance with Sylvetta you'll never go back.
Organic Herb Salad- We developed our herb salad for those looking for a spring mix with a little extra character. Our herb salad contains all of the same ingredients as our spring mix along with seasonal herbs to new delicious and distinctive flavors to the blend.
Organic Romaine Mix- For those Romaine lovers out there we have the perfect mix of crunchy red and green romaine’s for you. We are always seeking exciting new varieties of baby romaine leaves to get the perfect mix of tender baby leaves and the crisp romaine feel.

Organic Floral Salad- In 2009 we trialed this beautiful spring mix with edible flowers. we plan on offering this beautiful mix once we can figure out how to effectively package the flowers.
Organic Mache- In 2010 we will be trialing mache and mache blends. We plan on offering a full line of locally grown organic mache and mache blends by 2011.
